For vessels with higher electrical demand, the MasPower MP13M 13 kW Marine Generator uses a Yanmar 3TNV88 engine and delivers 13 kW at 60 Hz or 11 kW at 50 Hz.
Depending on the model, MasPower diesel gensets may include freshwater cooling with a heat exchanger, a water-cooled stainless-steel exhaust elbow, a brushless alternator, rubber vibration isolators, a stainless-steel drip tray and a remote monitoring panel. A digital generator controller and safety shutdowns can protect against low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, high exhaust temperature and overcranking, while single-side service access simplifies routine inspection and maintenance.
Correct marine generator sizing requires an assessment of continuous electrical consumption, intermittent demand and motor-starting loads from air-conditioning compressors, refrigeration systems and pumps. The required voltage, 50 Hz or 60 Hz frequency, phase configuration and available installation dimensions must also be confirmed. Planning should include seawater intake, wet-exhaust routing, ventilation, fuel connections, starting-battery capacity, service clearances and whether a sound-enclosed marine generator is required.
