A quotation is valid for the period stated on the document.

If no validity period is shown, the quotation is valid for 14 calendar days from the date of issue.

Quotations may change before payment because of changes in:

Supplier or manufacturer prices.
Freight rates.
Currency exchange rates.
Taxes or government charges.
Product specifications.
Customer requirements.
Delivery arrangements.

A quotation does not reserve inventory unless product allocation or reservation is confirmed in writing.

8. Prices and Charges

12. Special Orders and Product Sourcing

Reconditioned or remanufactured products.
Manufacturer-built products.
Gearboxes with a selected reduction ratio.

Commercial-duty products.

Hard-to-source replacement parts.

Special-order and sourced products may become noncancelable and nonreturnable once procurement, allocation, production, programming, or configuration has begun.

This restriction does not remove rights relating to an incorrect, damaged, materially misdescribed, or legally nonconforming product.

13. Order Changes and Cancellations

15. Delivery Inspection

Customers must inspect shipments immediately upon delivery.

Visible damage, missing packages, broken crates, punctured packaging, or shortages should be recorded on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing.

Damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments must be reported within 72 hours of delivery.

Responsibility for the shipment transfers according to the quotation, invoice, agreed shipping terms, or applicable Incoterm.

17. Installation and Commissioning

Marine engines, generators, gearboxes, drives, and control systems must be installed, aligned, connected, commissioned, and tested correctly.

Installation should be completed by a qualified professional following:

Electrical requirements.
Fuel-system specifications.
Cooling and exhaust requirements.
Alignment procedures.
Generator voltage, phase, and frequency requirements.
Control-system instructions.
Applicable marine standards.

The customer and installer are responsible for confirming that the product is suitable for the vessel and intended use.

MSS Motorsports UG is not responsible for damage or failure caused by:

Improper installation.
Incorrect alignment.
Incorrect gearbox ratio or propeller selection.
Incorrect voltage, frequency, or phase.
Unsuitable cooling or exhaust design.
Contaminated fuel or fluids.
Incorrect wiring.
Improper commissioning.
Unauthorized modification.
Operation outside the approved duty rating.

18. Service and Maintenance Work

Any service, repair, inspection, sourcing, or maintenance work arranged directly through MSS Motorsports UG will be governed by the applicable written quotation or service order.

Before work begins, the quotation should identify:

The agreed scope of work.
Customer responsibilities.
Estimated labor and parts.
Exclusions.
Payment terms.
Expected completion period.
Any applicable workmanship warranty.

Additional defects or work discovered during inspection will require customer approval before being added to the original scope, except where urgent action is reasonably required to prevent immediate damage or danger.

19. Returns and Refunds

Returns, refunds, exchanges, and post-shipment cancellations are governed by our Returns and Refunds Policy.

Eligible stocked parts and accessories may generally be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery.

Eligible unused and uninstalled engines, generators, gearboxes, drives, and propulsion products may generally be returned within 14 calendar days of delivery, subject to prior approval.

MSS Motorsports UG will reasonably assist customers with available warranty documentation and claim support.

Final warranty decisions may be made by the applicable manufacturer, supplier, distributor, reconditioner, or warranty provider.

21. International Orders

International customers are responsible for confirming that products may legally be:

Registered.
Installed.
Resold.
Operated in the destination country.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the customer is responsible for:

Import permits.
Customs registration.
Customs clearance.
Duties and taxes.
Brokerage charges.
Destination certification.
Port and terminal expenses.

International quotations may use Incoterms® 2020 rules. The applicable term, named location, and included transportation services will be stated on the quotation or commercial invoice.

We may decline or cancel a transaction that is restricted by export-control, sanctions, customs, or trade laws.
